Where normally there would be a clear dividing line between boats (in the ocean) and houses (on the land), it has been eliminated in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. This 'unnatural' state of affairs is a powerful way to illustrate the destructive and disruptive power of climate impacts, on a coastal community, making a direct and tangible link between people and climate impacts.
