WHAT IT SHOWS: The roads are clogged with a mixture of vehicle exhaust fumes and smoke. The smog covers much of south-east Asia as the fires in Kalimantan rage on unchecked - many of them in the peat bogs below the rainforest floor. Pontianak, a town of 450,000 people, is currently the most polluted place on earth.
