Pollution and Girl
Our research suggests that linking the life of an innocent child and the by-products of industrial waste at this scale will provoke a powerful emotional reaction.

WHAT IT SHOWS: A girl crosses a bridge over the heavily polluted Buriganga River. Everyday 1.5 million cubic metres of waste water from 7,000 industrial units in surrounding areas and another 0.5 million cubic metres from other sources are released into the river. Although the government have enacted laws that require industry to safely process effluents these are rarely enforced and pollution remains uncontrolled. The river is biologically dead and increasingly a serious health hazard to those using and living near it.
