Our research found that people don't easily make the link between eating meat and climate change. But it also suggested that showing this 'behaviour' at industrial scale is a better way of making the link, than via an image of an individual.
WHAT IT SHOWS: Workers butcher livestock in Marfrig slaughterhouse facility. Marfrig is the world's fourth largest beef trader. After Greenpeace released a report exposing Marfrig's link to Amazon deforestation, the company announced a moratorium that prevents them from buying cattle raised in newly deforested areas within the Amazon. Animal agriculture accounts for 14% to 18% of global greenhouse gas emissions.
