Pupils at Ringmer Community College are actively involved in environmental activities. The student Eco-Reps are given roles such as monitoring energy use, controlling the heating system, and pointing out departments that waste energy. Pupils have also been involved in the design of a new 6th form building, giving presentations about their work. The school generates some of its electricity from a 2.5 kW wind turbine and a 7.5 kW solar photovoltaic array.
