WHAT IT SHOWS: “We are destroying the earth. The weather will continue to be unstable. I think it is mostly done by humans, by lots of things we do. Our industries. Now we have several seasons in a week.” – Berit Sara.
Berit Sara and her niece live on the island of Sørøya, over 300 miles North of the Arctic Circle. Both member of the Sami indigenous group, they say they have noticed drastic changes in weather and season patterns, and worry about the fish and reindeer.
