WHAT IT SHOWS: Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon (third from right) with researchers, who showed him how they measure the ice's thickness and temperature, during his visit to the Polar ice rim. The UN Chief made the visit to witness firsthand the impact of climate change on icebergs and glaciers, as part of his campaign urging Member States to "seal the deal" on a fair, balanced and effective agreement at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in December.
