WHAT IT SHOWS: Thursday, 13th September, 2017. Emergency Services responded to a major bushfire at Richmond Vale, New South Wales, South of Kurri Kurri. The fire reached Emergency Warning Level early afternoon when westerly winds picked up. A major response by fire services saw hundreds of firefighters battle blaze well into the night. Crews conducted backburning operations into the evening to help contain and control the fire.
