Ecocity in Johannesburg
Images like this are better than the 'solution' (in this case urban farming) without the people.

WHAT IT SHOWS: SOUTH AFRICA. Johannesburg. Midrand. Ivory Park. Ecocity. One of the successful co-operatives totaling 70 farmers growing organic vegetables outside the walls of Ecocity using recycled water for irrigation. More land is available for these co-operatives because of the preference for terraced housing inside the development, which is more energy efficient and uses up less space than individual dwellings. 2004.
